The Slipper's Epilogue
Slipper glues the Good and Evil Sword to the inside of the scabbard and disguises the crossguard as the basket handle of a walking cane with some wood from the elf forest. He will not draw it again, but would bestow it upon a worthy hero.
Slipper gives the Wolf choker to the Lycanthropes in the woods, saying that he found it in Darkelf's tower and despises things made to keep others in bondage. "There are few things in this world more evil than the sin of domination."
Slipper returns to Zaxon and laboriously carves statues (he's blind, of course, and probably enlists helpers for the finer details) of the following:
- Barral Jr.
- Just a neck with handholds at the base, upon which sits the living head of Barral Jr. Servants will carry Barral until his body may be restored. Slipper attempts (unsuccessfully) to teach him the fine arts in the interim.
- The Elf Child
- Sent to Elf Jones. An inscription at the bottom: "RIP ElfnameForthcoming, a faultless casualty in a horrible battle. The gem of elven kind."
- Bahat Ghul
- Displayed in Ogre's Head Fort. An engraving at the bottom, in Bahat Ghul's native(?) tongue and Rhoneish: "May we all subsist eternal, unchanging as the mountains."
- Gestalt
- Displayed in Ogre's Head Fort. An inscription at the bottom: "May we all become more than the sum of our parts."
- Gronk
- Displayed in Ogre's Head Fort. An engraving at the bottom: "May we bring our home with us wherever we go."
- The Dead Songbirds
- A group statue, displayed in Ogre's Head Fort. An inscription at the bottom: "Through the will of the masses come great deeds and better futures."
- Wren
- Only a bust, displayed in Slipper's personal quarters. Underneath the base, a letter in a beautiful but faltering script: "I think often of what we could've accomplished had we joined forces there in the Blue Ruins. You were brave until the end, Liberator."
- Krang
- Only a bust, displayed in Slipper's personal quarters. Underneath the base, a letter in a beautiful but faltering script: "We cannot all walk the careful path between Good and Evil. I hope you've found peace with your lot, friend."
- Kimimi
- Only a bust, displayed in Slipper's personal quarters. Underneath the base, a letter in a beautiful but faltering script: "I awoke this morning from a dream of great clanging, as if the chains of Sisyphus had fallen singing from his tortured body and landed with a rattle at the bottom of his boulder. I hope the Grease embraced you kindly, Dame."
- Barral Jr.
Slipper founds a Chapel of Grease in either Ogre Fort or Zaxon and preaches an ever-adapting doctrine of balance, self-mastery, and humility. He sends regular letters to Parent Petroleum, one of the last alive in Dhunprick who know he still lives.
He passes the rest of his days among the people of Zaxon and Ogre's Head Fort, repenting for the sins he bore to balance Good and Evil.
